TECHNOLOGY INCUBATION CENTRES: FG Resolves to Partner with State Governments.

The Federal Government has resolved to partner with State Governments to create pilot Technology Incubation Centres to strengthen Technological development in the country The Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora stated this during the inauguration of the Ministerial Committee on the implementation of the National Development Plan (NPP) 2022 in Abuja.
Mamora said the Sector is developing policy to accelerate the necessary Research and Development to improve Nigeria’s ranking in the global innovation index and promote Nanotechnology
The Minister noted that the National Development Plan (NDP) succeeds the Economic Recovery and growth plan (ERGP) 2017-2021 which cuts across different Sectors of the economy.
He tasked the Committee to identify and address the gaps in the implementation of the National Development Plan and enhance its effective execution with the view to achieving set goals of the Sector.
The Permanent Secretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Mrs. Monilola Udoh who spoke earlier, said, the Federal Government’s National Development Plan is to succeed the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan and charged them to perform the assignment diligently for government to achieve the set goal
